Demo App Lets You Test The New MacBook Pro's Touch Bar

The app is called Demo and it does what its name suggests - it gives you a demo of the new MacBook Pro's Touch Bar. It was first shared on GitHub and it allows users to know the Touch Bar functionality in two distinct ways.

While the app will not give you an exact "Touch" experience, it will simply allow you to know what functionality is part of it and how it's done. Demo will be installed on Macs without a Touch Bar as a standalone app. It will also adapt to the changing apps as you would have already seen on the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar.

So while you do not have any touch controls to interact with app on older Macs, it will give you a pretty solid idea what's it all about. Instead of using the touch interface, you will have to press the physical function keys to interact and control the options being displayed.

Apart from this, the other option allows you to make use of your iPad. However, make sure that it is connected via USB to your Mac. Unlike the first option, this lets you interact with touch controls. It brings full Touch Bar functionality and the way you can interact with it. The icons respond and adapt to what app you're running on your Mac. Overall, the Demo app gives a pretty similar look and feel mimicking the new MacBook Pro's Touch Bar.
