After the launch of a new device, several manufacturers often met out step-motherly treatment to their predecessors. Thankfully, OnePlus isn't one of them and continues to update the nearly two-year-old OnePlus 3/3T regularly. As a cherry on top, they even port features from newer devices on to older, compatible ones. ZTE Axon 7’s Android Oreo beta update leaked

With all the controversy surrounding the Chinese telecommunication behemoth, it is easy to overlook that ZTE is still a force to be reckoned with in the smartphone market. The ZTE Axon 7 is a relic from the yesteryears, released way back in 2016. It aimed to deliver high-end specifications at a reasonable price, and it played the part reasonably well. The company even promised an Oreo update for the device even when they could potentially lose their Android licence. ZTE was working in tandem with the Lineage OS team to develop Oreo for the Axon 7. Today, an XDA Developers member released a custom ROM based for the device, which can be downloaded using this link. May Security patch rolling out for the Galaxy Note 8

One would expect Samsung of all companies to be a bit more diligent when it comes to regularly updating their flagship devices. Most companies prioritize flagships over other devices when it comes to updates, but Samsung seems to do the exact opposite. Eligible mid-range and budget Samsung devices seem to receive security patches before flagships for the past few months for reasons known best only to Samsung. Today, the Galaxy Note 8 May security patch rollout begins in the North American market, though it is only for carrier-unlocked devices. Other than the May security patch, the update brings nothing new to the popular phablet.
