Required files: downloadPACmanfor Galaxy NexusandGoogle Apps Packagefor your device on your computer.

Connect your Galaxy Nexus to computer using USB cable and mount the device storage.Copy the downloaded zip files to the SD card of your Nexus- do not extract any file.Disconnect your device and switch it off.Boot into recovery mode: press and holdVolume Up,Volume Downand thePowerbutton simultaneously until the screen flashes and then release all the keys. Use volume keys to scroll and power key to select any option in the recovery mode.Perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM on Galaxy Nexus: selectBackup and Restore>Backup.Important to perform if you want to be able to restore back to current OS.Now we will be performing the data wiping tasks: selectwipe data/factory resetand confirm. First boot takes a few minutes, so give your device enough time.
