Download and install USB drivers for Galaxy S2 in your computer.Enable USB debugging option by pressingMenu>Settings>Applications. Navigate and tap onDeveloper Optionsto ensure thatUSB Debuggingis enabled.Make sure that ClockworkMod recovery is installed.Ensure that your Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 carries more than 80% of charge.

How to update Galaxy S2 to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean RootBox v 3.9.1:

Required files:RootBox v3.9.1 ROM for Galaxy S2 I9100andGoogle Apps.

Connect Galaxy S2 to your computer using data cable and copy the downloaded files to the SD card of your galaxy device.Disconnect the cable and switch your SGS2 off. Boot in to recovery mode by pressing and holdingVolume Up, Homeand thePowerbuttons simultaneously - or try Quick Boot app.UseVolumekeys to highlight andPowerbutton to select.Now perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM to be restored later. SelectBackup and Restore>Backup. Go to recovery menu after backup process is done. -very important step since it's a custom ROM and you might want to switch back.Next we would perform a full data wipe operation by going towipe data/factory reset>Yespath. Come back to the main CMW recovery menu and selectwipe cache partition,when done, tap onAdvance>wipe Dalvik Cache forwiping Dalvik cache data.Now from sdcard, selectinstall zip from sdcardfollowed bychoosezip from sdcard. Locate the ROMfile from sd Card and select it usingpowerbutton. Tap onyesto confirm installation and wait for the ROM installation.Once done, repeat the above step but this time choose gApps file (gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip) instead of the ROM file.When everything is done, go back to man recovery menu and selectreboot system now.Wait for the device to boot in to the latest Vanilla RootBox based on Android 4.2.2 for Galaxy S2 i9100!
