Apple has patched various vulnerabilities used in iOS 9 Pangu jailbreak in iOS 9.1. It narrows down to the fact that users can no longer jailbreak their devices until the new jailbreak arrives. After the agonizing wait, a well-known hacker has allegedly teased iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak, an iOS version which has not been publicly released by Apple. The hacker flaunted a screenshot of Cydia running iOS 9.2.1 beta on his iPhone 6.

Luca Has No Plans To Release An iOS 9.2.1 Jailbreak

Luca Todesco, who is better known by the name of @qwertyoruiop has unveiled that he has successfully jailbroken iOS 9.2.1. For those of you unfamiliar with the hacker, Luca was credited by Apple for security vulnerabilities fixed in iOS 9.2. Some of you might argue whether the jailbreak is the real deal, but Luca is competent when it comes to security research involving iOS.

However, as excited as we all were, Luca has planned to not release an iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak and frankly, people should not expect him to. Nonetheless, if you're expecting a jailbreak, it would be released by someone else. The hacker has gone on to say that there would not be a jailbreak ''unless bugs are dead.''

Luca's tweet says ''No releases.'' This seems to be a completely dry response from someone having access to an iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak. So it might be a good option to expect a jailbreak from someone else but Luca.

Speaking of someone else, both TaiG team and Pangu are working on a jailbreak for iOS 9.2. So even though Luca has no plans to release a jailbreak, we can still be optimistic about it. It will be released as soon as we know that iOS 9.2.1 is exposed to vulnerabilities which could possibly result in a jailbreak.

Earlier this week, Apple released an iOS 9.2.1 beta 2 to public beta testers and developers. However, there are no official release dates setfor the public release. Henceforth, we might have to wait a bit for iOS 9.2.1 to be released if we are to expect a jailbreak. For those of you possessing an iOS 9 jailbrokendevice, do not upgrade your software. Updating may cause you to lose thejailbreak.
