WhatsApp for iOS has just been updated with full support for 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The update is immediately available to download directly from the App Store.
WhatsApp Adds Support For iPhone 6s 3D Touch
WhatsApp is known for pushing out updates quite slow compared to every other IM app out there. But lately, the company has jumped onto the speed bandwagon and has now started to push out updates on a timely basis. Today's rolloutis a good example of a speedy release, with the IM app updated with full support for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus 3D Touch.
The complete changelog from the App Store is as follows:
• 3D Touch: Support for 3D Touch on iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. You can now quickly Peek and Pop pictures, videos, links, contact cards, and locations you send and receive in chats.
• The WhatsApp interface is now mirrored and optimized for right-to-left languages like Arabic (iOS 9+).
• Bug fixes
Apart from the aforementioned iPhone 6s-centric update, the app now fully supports iOS 9 as well, allowing it to take full advantage of Cupertino's latest mobile firmware release. And thanks to its iOS 9 support, the WhatsApp is now mirrored, adding full support for languages that start from right to left.
WhatsApp for iPhone is absolutely free to download and you can grab the piece of software directly from here. If you have WhatsApp installed already on your iPhone, then simply launch the App Store and tap on the Updates tab on the bottom right hand corner. Over here you'll notice the WhatsApp update waiting for your download approval. Simply tap on the 'Update' button and the app should start downloading straight away without any sort of delay. If you have automatic downloads already turned on, then you don't have to go through the trouble of manually updating the app, so you're good to go.
