Undoubtedly, the number of views and likes people get on YouTube videos is very important. This is the same for both the platform and creators on it, and sometimes, tracking these numbers can be a difficult task. Well, that could soon change as the company is apparently working on real-time likes and views counters, and once the feature does roll out, it will do exactly what it means, and more importantly, it will rid you of any third-party software or plugins that you might be using.
YouTube creators will have a much easier time looking at the likes and views with the new real-time feature
Now, it is worth noting that the feature is not rolling out to everyone, but there appears to be a video showing how it works, and, well, it is pretty simple. The good thing is that this new real-time counter keeps itself updated when you open different apps or close YouTube and come back to it again. I am not sure whether that is going to have an impact on the battery, but that is something we will worry about at a later stage.
As mentioned before, the new feature is currently only available to select YouTube users, and the company itself hasn't talked much about the new update, either. It is safe to say that it will take some time before we can get the chance to experience the feature in full swing, and when that happens, we will keep you posted.
The number of likes and views is the bread and butter for many YouTube creators, and it is a strong indicator of how the video performs. This feature coming to the platform is definitely something that should have happened a long time ago, but I am glad that it is finally in the works.
