AMD will be launching more Polaris cards in a couple of weeks which will be aimed at the mainstream market. These will include the Radeon RX 470 and Radeon RX 460 which will feature a starting price of $149 US and $99 US respectively. Just like the faster Radeon RX 480 graphics cards, the RX 470 and RX 460 will feature the GCN 4.0 architecture delivering the biggest improvement in terms of performance per watt on AMD Radeon cards.
The AMD Radeon RX series based on the Polaris architecture comes at a sweet-spot pricing.

The Radeon RX 480 is the flagship graphics card featuring the Polaris 10 architecture. It is based on the full chip design with 36 Compute Units that round up to 2304 stream processors. The Radeon RX 480 launched on 29th June and received many positive reviews. At a starting price of $199 US for the 4 GB and $239 US for the 8 GB model, the card is a deal breaker for many mainstream PC builders. But AMD has two more solutions that utilize their Polaris architecture, the Radeon RX 470 and Radeon RX 460.
AMD Radeon RX 470 Graphics Card - Polaris 10 Optimized For The $150 Market Segment
The AMD Radeon RX 470 features the same Polaris 10 GPU featured on the RX 480. The only difference is that it is a bit cut down which means it houses lower amount of compute units. The graphics chip on the RX 470 has a total of 32 compute units which total to 2048 stream processors. These processors are clocked at 1206 MHz and feature 5.0 TFLOPs of compute performance. The rated TDP for the Radeon RX 470 at stock clocks is 110W that makes it 40W lower than the full Polaris 10 chip.

The Radeon RX 470 is targeted at the sub-$150 market hence it is only offered in 4 GB GDDR5 variants. The card features the same 256-bit bus but the memory is clocked at a lower speed of 7.00 GHz (effective) which outputs 224 GB/s bandwidth. This is enough to feed the card. The card requires a single 6-Pin power connector to boot and features a reference cooler and PCB design which is very similar to the Radeon RX 480. At $150 US, the RX 470 will be a very nice offering when it launches later this month.
AMD Radeon RX 460 Graphics Card - $99 US Compact Design Capable of 1080P Gaming
The AMD Polaris 11 GPU will be featured inside the Radeon RX 460 graphics card which is a $100 US product aimed at the esports market where MOBA titles are very popular. The Polaris 11 GPU features 14 CUs which means it has 896stream processors. This chip is capable of delivering more than 2 TFLOPs of compute (FP32) performance. The card will be available with 2 GB GDDR5 memory,featuringa 128-bit memory bus interface. Depending on the clock speed used, the card could feature a bandwidth of around 112 GB/s.

Since the card features the same GCN 4.0 architecture as its bigger brother, we will be getting up to 2.8x perf per watt improvement over past generation GCN products such as the Radeon R7 360. The Radeon RX 460 also comes with Display Port 1.3 / 1.4 HDR capabilities.

The card will feature a TDP of less than 75W which means it will be powered via the PCI-Express bus and won’t need an external power connector. The card features a really small PCB and has a cooler design similar to the Radeon R9 Nano which looks compact and premium for a $99 card. The graphics card will launch close to August.
