AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Review Shows Great Multi-Threaded Performance But Lackluster Gaming Performance
The AMD Ryzen 5 family will be launched on 11th April for consumers around the globe. Featured in the lineup is AMD’s mainstreamand multi-threaded six core chip, the Ryzen 5 1600. The $219 US chip packs six cores and 12threads. The chip features clock speeds of 3.2 GHz base and 3.6 GHz boost while the TDP is maintained at 95W. The chip further packs 16 MB of L3 cache and would be aimed at the Core i5 chips based on its price point.
