Google has now started to release final Android 7.1.2 Nougat to those enrolled in the Android Beta Program. Today's update follows the release for non-beta testers earlier this month. Android 7.1.2 beta 2 was released last month, bringing a number of small fixes and improvements.Google Pixel and Pixel XL beta testers can now update their devices to the final Android Nougat version to benefit from a number of improvements and bug fixes.

In the changelog, Google had noted that several Pixel issues have been resolved, including the pink band problem in the camera that was experienced by some users. Android 7.1.2 also aims to fix Bluetooth issues, battery shutdown problem, camera issues, audio issue, along with other bugs and problems. Earlier in the month, when the update was released to non-beta users, Google had posted the following details:

Some of the other fixes are with the early shutdown issue on the Pixel, a fix for the small number of users experiencing pink banding on the camera, and a fix to the audio popping issue some users were experiencing at high volumes.

Between March and April update, don't expect to see any major changes as this is an incremental update brought to fix some bugs and introduce general performance and stability improvements. The update has also added a "Powered by Android" logo on the Pixel's boot screen andsomenew battery usage alerts.

Since the release of Android 7.1.2 Nougat earlier in April, several Pixel and Nexus owners have reported facing problems with the fingerprint sensor. Sony announced today that it will be soon releasing Android 7.1.2 Concept Update for Xperia X (Xperia's beta program) and added that the update won't be bringing the fingerprint problems. It isn't immediately clear whether today's Android 7.1.2 update for Beta Program Pixel devices has also avoided that particular issue.
