Companies around the world are in the race to make the world a greener place so it can become more habitable not only for our generation but for generations to come. Apple, one of the largest companies by volume and by value, is one of them. Today, the company has announced that over 250 suppliers have entered a commitment that they will be using renewable energy for every production by Apple by 2030. This means that if the company sticks to its goals, in just seven years, the Cupertino giant can become a completely green company.

Not just that, Apple has also shared another milestone by mentioning the fact that the company, along with its manufacturing partners, has expanded renewable energy to over 13 gigawatts. Compared to last year, this is nearly a 30 percent increase.
This is not all, Apple has also reiterated its stance about being carbon neutral regarding corporate emissions. The company has mentioned how it is using "innovative tools" to ensure that every product by 2030 is carbon neutral. The company has also pledged a hefty $4.7 billion in Green Bonds, which will help finance the expansion of clean energy and other projects that would help reduce emissions. Not just that, the company also supports 1.5 gigawatts of renewable energy across the globe. This energy powers corporate offices, data centers, and retail stores spread across 44 countries.
Apple has also shared this infographic, talking about the company's efforts toward renewable energy and emission reduction:

There is no denying that all of this is impressive, but it is also essential to remember that this is not something that a single company can achieve on its own. Sure, Apple going carbon neutral is going to be a massive eye-opener for companies worldwide, especially in the tech world. However, at the same time, we must remember that several smaller and larger companies must come together and turn this dream into a reality. Companies like Samsung, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, and so many other industry leaders can easily make a difference if they are willing to. It is nice to see Apple leading this race toward something that will be good for the entirety of humanity.
