Apple's WWDC 2023 event is underway, and the company has seen fit to announce its highly anticipated 15.3-inch MacBook Air. The device features the same design as that of the 13.6-inch variant. However, the device features a lot more than just a design upgrade. Scroll down to read more details on the subject.
The 15.3-Inch MacBook Air features the same design as the 13-inch variant but a larger display and battery life
According to Apple, the new 15.3-inch MacBook Air is the world's thinnest 15-inch laptop at just 11.5mm thin. Furthermore, it weighs only 3 pounds and comes with a headphone jack, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, MagSafe, and new color options. In terms of design, the bigger MacBook Air features the same design as that of the 13-inch variant. In terms of colors, the device features four distinct colors - Starlight, Midnight, Space Gray, and Silver.
In terms of design, the new 15.3-inch MacBook Air features the same thinner profile as its younger sibling. It features a unibody design with a six-speaker sound system for enhanced audio output. The bigger edge-to-edge display comes with a 1080p FaceTime camera for video calls enclosed on a notch that can reach up to 500 nits. Due to the bigger display, the notch is less intrusive compared to the 13-inch variant.

The keyboard layout is the same, but due to a bigger chassis, it resembles the one on the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. It also features Touch ID for faster and more secure login and transactions. Apple says that the design is silent, which means that the device features a fan-less design.
In terms of performance, the 15.3-inch MacBook Air features the same M2 chip that powers the 13.6-inch version of the app. According to Apple's comparisons, the M2 chip inside the machine is 12 times faster than an Intel-based MacBook Air. The M2 chip feature 8 CPU cores and 10 GOU cores for enhanced computational and graphical use. It can be configured up to 24GB of RAM and 2TB of storage capacity.
