A few days after Apple registered the wordmark ‘xrOS,’ the company may have secretly filed for the trademark ‘xrProOS,’ but the actual filing was not done by Apple as it would have been easy to trace its steps. Instead, it is possible that a shell company was involved in trademark filing, according to the latest findings.
Apple may have filed for the ‘xrProOS’ trademark through a shell company named Deep Dive LLC
As spotted by MacRumors, a company based in Delaware by the name Deep Dive LLC may have been responsible for the ‘xrProOS’ trademark filing. One reason why we like to believe that the shell company belongs to Apple is that the SF Pro font of the term ‘xrProOS’ looks exactly like the wordmark ‘xrOS.’ As for xrProOS, according to online records, the trademark was filed on May 18 in Argentina, Turkey, and the Philippines.
What is not surprising to hear is that Deep Dive LLC was also responsible for the same ‘xrOS’ trademark filing in New Zealand earlier this month, so naturally, both occurrences cannot be mere coincidences. The same shell company first applied for the trademark in Jamaica on April 27. If you must know, this region is selected for trademarks of future Apple products because it lacks a proper online trademark database, allowing the technology giant to continue its work in secrecy without any prying eyes.

Apple filed the trademark ‘xrProOS’ through a shell corporation
Thankfully, with the proliferation of the internet and some digging around, it is not difficult to know what companies like Apple are planning soon. With the latest leak, there are now two potential platforms that the company could be working on; xrOS and xrProOS. As the names suggest, xrOS could be related to the AR headset software that primarily runs mixed-reality content, while xrProOS could be focused on running dedicated professional apps like the ones running on other Apple devices.
As it so happens, we reported that Apple’s AR headset could run taxing programs like Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro. These two editing applications have existed on macOS for a long time and only just made their way to iPadOS. According to an earlier specifications leak where we discussed the Bill of Materials, the headset features the M2 SoC, coupled with 12GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, plus Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 support. These internals are capable of running various applications, which is precisely what xrProOS might be for.
