Apple Now Reported To Announce Its Highly Awaited 15-Inch MacBook Air At WWDC
Apple Now Reported To Announce Its Highly Awaited 15-Inch MacBook Air At WWDC-March 2024
Mar 30, 2026 3:38 AM

Apple’s WWDC 2023 keynote, which is said to be held on June 5, could play host to many surprises, such as the AR headset announcement. However, we have received the latest update that the company could also unveil the 15-inch MacBook Air during the software-centric event, which would be a huge reveal for customers wanting to get a larger, portable Mac as their daily driver.

The 15-inch MacBook Air will reportedly be the second hardware product to be unveiled at WWDC 2023

The update concerning the MacBook Air launch was provided by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Alongside the AR headset, the bigger brother of the 13-inch redesigned notebook is expected to take center stage at one of Apple’s biggest events of the year. To recap, given below is what will be previewed at this year’s WWDC:

“As part of watchOS 10, the company is planning to bring back widgets and make them a central part of the interface. This new strategy will debut at WWDC in June, alongside the unveiling of iOS 17, macOS 14, the 15-inch MacBook Air, and, of course, the much-anticipated mixed-reality headset.”

Like the 13-inch MacBook Air, the bigger version will adopt the same design

This is the first time that Gurman has mentioned that the 15-inch MacBook Air would be showcased at the event, but unfortunately, beyond that, we should not expect any ‘One More Thing’ moment from Apple. For instance, lots of readers anticipate a preview of the M3, but the SoC will likely be revealed in the fourth quarter of the year, meaning that the newer model will only be treated to the M2.

In fact, Apple is not expected to provide any M2 Pro options to customers with this release, as there will only be a single chipset powering the larger MacBook Air. The design of the portable Mac will be similar to the 13-inch model, except that you will get a larger display coupled with a bigger battery, resulting in higher endurance.

Other than that, do not expect earth-shattering changes, though we hope Apple introduces an M3 refresh of the 15-inch MacBook Air when the SoC is officially announced later in the year. Hopefully, it will perform significantly better than the smaller variant.
