Apple has finally released watchOS 10.1 alongside macOS Sonoma, tvOS 17.1, and HomePod 17.1 update to the general public. You can download and install the latest builds on your compatible devices for free.
Apple releases watchOS 10.1, macOS Sonoma 14.1, tvOS 17.1 to the public
watchOS 10.1 can be downloaded on all compatible Apple Watch models through your iPhone's dedicated Apple Watch app. Launch the Apple Watch app, head over to General > Software Update > follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the newly released watchOS 10.1 update. Before you do so, ensure your Apple Watch has over 50 percent battery life and is plugged into a power source. Additionally, your Apple Watch should be in the range of your iPhone.
watchOS 10.1 release brings significant changes and features to the platform. The update brings the Double Tap gesture to the Apple Watch, which can perform specific actions such as answering a phone call, bringing up the Smart Stack, and more. The update also allows Apple Watch users to share their contact information through the NameDrop feature. All you have to do is bring your Apple Watch closer to another compatible Apple Watch or even an iPhone, and the contact information will be shared automatically. It also fixes many bugs that will make the user experience more fluid.

Besides watchOS 10.1, Apple has also released macOS Sonoma 14.1 to the public. The update is now available for all compatible Macs and can be downloaded through the Software Update mechanism in System Settings. Apple has also released macOS 13.6.1 and macOS 12.7.1 updates for older Macs. macOS Sonoma 14.1 also brings various improvements to the table.
Lastly, Apple has released the tvOS 17.1 and HomePod 17.1 update for compatible Apple TV and HomePods.
