AppleCare+ Details for iPad Air & iPad mini Announced – Significantly Cheaper Than iPad Pro Models-March 2024
Mar 30, 2026 12:13 AM

Apple unveiled two new iPad models; the new 10.5-inch iPad Air and 7.9-inch iPad mini.To protect your expensive investments, Apple has introduced its AppleCare+ program for both tablets, with all the details you’ve been wanting to know provided here.

AppleCare+ Can Also Be Financed With a Monthly Payment of $3.49

Although most Apple products come with a one-year limited warranty and 90 days of complimentary telephone technical support, the coverage can be extended further with AppleCare+. This will prolong the warranty plan to two years from the purchase date. Additionally, you will get accidental damage coverage get for two incidents and each time you will have to pay a service charge of $49. This rate is for the U.S. and may vary elsewhere. Apple Pencil is also included in the plan and you will have to pay a fee of $29 for each incident.

Without AppleCare+, you will have to pay $249 to Apple for accidental damage for the recently unveiled iPadAir. You must add AppleCare+ within 60 days of purchasing any iPad model. If you can’t pay the whole fee upfront, you can pay $3.49 for up to 2 years to get AppleCare+ for both the iPad Airand iPad mini.

Since Apple develops both the hardware and software, its products are seamlessly integrated and thus,it makes sense to rely only on the Cupertino giant to get your products fixed, unless you’ve found a third-party repair service that won’t end up bricking your tablet. With the plan, you get 24/7 support from Apple experts and most issues are usually resolved in a single call.

If need be, you can also mail your iPad to Apple or take it to anApple Store or other Apple Authorized Service Providerto get it fixed. If you want to know which iPad model to purchase, make sure to check out our detailed comparison, where we pit the iPad Air, the iPad mini and last year’s A10 Fusion-powered iPad 6 in our latest specifications, features, and pricing bout.
