The creative applications Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro that professionals on the Mac used will be pleased to hear that Apple has introduced both programs to the iPad lineup. Both applications will be available to download and use through Apple’s App Store, and while we have discussed pricing details below, let us go over what features users can try with these two apps.
Not all iPad models will be able to run Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro, here are more details on the apps and the pre-requisites you need
Let us talk about Final Cut Pro for the iPad. According to Apple, the app will bring forth an all-new touch interface, paired with intuitive tools to support the new form factor of the tablet. There is a new ‘jog wheel’ that will allow users to edit their videos faster while also interacting with the program in a new way. The new Multi-Touch gestures have been optimized to play well with Final Cut Pro, with Bob Borchers, Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing and also talking about how both apps will benefit creators.

“We’re excited to introduce Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for iPad, allowing creators to unleash their creativity in new ways and in even more places. With a powerful set of intuitive tools designed for the portability, performance, and touch-first interface of iPad, Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro deliver the ultimate mobile studio.”
There is also a Reference Mode, where creators can view and edit HDR content properly, though those owning mini-LED iPad Pro models will be able to take advantage of this feature. As you might have guessed, machine learning features have been added, too, including a Scene Removal Mask that instantly removes or swaps the background behind the subject without requiring a green screen. Furthermore, the Auto Crop feature can adjust your footage to different aspect ratios, while Voice Isolation helps to remove background sound.

M2 iPad Pro owners will have an exclusive feature; the Apple Pencil hover will let users quickly preview footage without ever touching the tablet’s display while also being able to record in ProRes. Moving on to Logic Pro, just like Final Cut Pro, the audio editing software for the iPad includes Multi-Touch gestures, so you can play with instruments and employ the pinch-to-zoom and swipe-to-scroll movements to edit complex projects. The Apple Pencil should improve your productivity by allowing you to make precise edits on the display.
