ASUS Launches Radeon HD 7970 – Packs 3GB Memory, Features PCI Express Gen3 and DX11.1 Compatibility-August 2024

Leading HardwareManufacturerASUS, today launched its new Radeon HD 7970 Graphics Card based on the Tahiti XT Core (HD7000 Series) and featuring a 3GB Memory Buffer. The Radeon HD7970 is the fastest Single DX11 GPU on the planet which features AMD's 28nm GCN Core Architecture and supports PCI Express Gen 3.

The ASUS Radeon HD 7970 is based on a reference design, packing 2048 Stream Processors. Core clock is set at 925Mhz and Memory clock at 5500Mhz( 1375 MHz GDDR5 ). The card supports a 384-bit wide memory interface which allows for a 3GB Memory buffer which is ideal for Multi Display and AMD's Eyefinity Monitor Setups.

Display outputs include 1 x DVI, 2 x Mini Display Ports and a single HDMI Port. Bundled Accessories include1 x CrossFire cable,1 x Power cable1 x HDMI to DVIadapter,1 x Mini DP to DVIadapter. The GPU can be overclocked through ASUS's GPU Tweak Utility which allows for powerful tools useful for GPU Voltage and Frequencies tweaking.
