The smartphone market is currently standing in such a way that we have cutting-edge smartphones in the form of Samsung's Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series, we have iPhones from Apple, and we have gaming phones. While I still have not been able to figure out the purpose of a full-blown gaming phone, many companies, including Asus, think that making a phone powerful is not enough, it also has to look the part, and well, the Asus ROG Phone 7 Pro proves just that as the newly leaked renders show an aggressive design.
The Asus ROG Phone 7 will give you the best frame rates even if it does not look the sleekest of smartphones
Renowned tipster Evan Blass leaked a handful of renders of the upcoming Asus ROG Phone 7 Pro, and if you think the name is a mouthful, wait till you look at the design. Let's talk after we have a look at how the device looks.

Now, the phone looks akin to the previous Asus ROG Phones, but honestly, this is not something that I would sport, and I can say the same about a lot of other people. Don't get me wrong, I am sure that the Asus ROG Phone 7 Pro is going to be one of the fastest, or perhaps the fastest Android phones in the market, but this is not the type of phone that you carry around hoping for a complete experience. It certainly does not look like it can be a part of the flock. Simply put, the phone is neither elegant nor it is sleek, something that most people want in their devices.
With that said the Asus ROG Phone 7 Pro should be coming out sometime this year, packed with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, possibly overclocked, a lot of RAM, storage, and well, you can see some cooling as well as RGB lighting. The cooling accessory is going to be a separate purchase, but if you really want to showcase your phone looking like a mean gaming machine, this is the way to go.
As for the price, expect Asus to charge a premium for it, and we can also expect a few models considering how this is the Pro variant we are looking at. There is reason to believe that there will be a vanilla Asus ROG Phone 7, too. Let's see what corners are cut for that device. We will keep you posted as we hear more about Asus' next flagship gaming smartphone.
