Apple's development process is slowly and gently gaining momentum. The company has today released the second beta builds of its software, which includes iOS 10.2, watchOS 3.1.1 and tvOS 10.1. Rather than talking about the betas, we will show you how you can update to the latest build right away if you have the first pre-release buildinstalled.
iOS 10.2 Beta 2
Connect your iOS device to a WiFi network.Launch the Settings app.Navigate to General > Software Update.Once the second developer beta is available for download, tap on Download and Install.
watchOS 3.1.1 Beta 2
Place your Apple Watch on its magnetic charger.Launch the Watch app on your iPhone.Navigate to General > Software Update.Tap on Download and Install once the new update pops up.
tvOS 10.1 Beta 2
Turn on your Apple TV.Launch the Settings app.Scroll down and select System.Under Maintenance you'll see an option called Software Updates. Open it.Install any software update that is available.
All of the above updates bring with them a handful ofbug fixes and performance enhancements. tvOS 10.1 users can expect the single sign-on feature as well as the new TV app. watchOS 3.1.1 users will see nothing more than mere refinements around the edges. iOS 10.2 Beta 2 users can expect new emoji characters as well as a bunch of other changes.
We highly recommend updating all your software right now if you want to experience the smooth operation of your device. The update is absolutely mandatory for those who are using beta software devices as their daily drivers. Please take the time out to install all the necessary updates in order to iron out all the quirks you might be experiencing in the past week or so.
All of the above updates are available for developers only. However, if you're a non-developer and wish to test out something, then you'll be pleased to learn you can download iOS 10.2 Public Beta right now and take it for a spin on your device. It's absolutely free, and we have more details right here:
