A recent post at Softpedia.net has confirmed that retailavailabilityof Bulldozer based Zambezi-FX processors has been delayed till Q3 2011. Fans of the upcoming AMD FX CPU's were anticipating the launch of the new processors next month on the Computex 2011 and E3 2011 events. However, Reports suggest that the CPU's have been delayed and now arescheduledfor a August-September release.

The news originated over at Sweclockers where a fewTaiwanese Motherboardmanufacturersconfirmed their motherboards based on the AMD 990FX chipset supporting AM3+ socket are ready for release however no Bulldozer parts would beavailableat launch except the Phenom II processors which are also backwards compatible with the new boards through a BIOS update. Themanufactureralso told that they would consider postponing the launch of their products if AMD doesn't responds soon.

A release in Q3 2011 also means that the bulldozer processors will already be late as Intel would be launching their top of the line Sandy Bridge-E processors which could steal the show from AMD. Their processors do a well job comparing to the current Sandy Bridge lineup but a new enthusiasts based lineup would be a pretty hard hit to AMD. The first few processors in the FX-Series lineup include the FX-8130P, FX 8110 (Detailed here), FX 6110 and FX 4110 (Detailed here). Four new processors were also confirmed here however the delay may also cause them to bescheduledfor release sometime later in Q4 2011.
