Nothing as a brand could be considered barely out of its diapers. After all, it has been less than three years since the company was founded. So far, we have had two phone launches and a couple of true-wireless earbuds, and all the releases have done fairly well for themselves. Now, the company has decided to announce a sub-brand called CMF by Nothing, it is a budget-focused brand, and the company will be launching two products, a smartwatch, and true wireless earbuds, later this year under the same brand.

Now, Nothing devices are not known for being expensive, especially when compared to other competing devices. Look at the Nothing Phone 2, as the device debuted for $600. However, a lot of people still believe that their products are out of their reach, and to make things better for the company, they are launching CMF by Nothing. The new sub-brand will focus on clean and timeless design while keeping the price lower at the same time. Nothing, on the other hand, will be focusing on the highest-end components and great performance with the latest technology under the hood.

CMF by Nothing will operate autonomously under a larger Nothing umbrella. This move will ensure that teams from both companies are not conflicting with each other when designing devices and various other products. Surely, CMF by Nothing might surprise many people, but it is worth noting that this is not the first time we have seen something like that. A lot of companies have done something like that. Huawei used to have Honor, Realme has Narzo, OnePlus has Nord, and now, we have CMF. As to just how different the products are going to be from Nothing, we still have to see that.

Pei talked about how CMF by Nothing will release true-wireless earbuds and a smartwatch later this year, but no details have been shared aside from that. Considering how we are close to the last quarter of this year, you can expect to hear more from the company. It is safe to say that we can also expect a smartphone to be announced sometime later this year or maybe a teaser. I am definitely looking forward to it.
