There is no denying that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has been a stellar part of the hype machine and for all the right reasons. This should be Samsung's greatest foldable to date, with a ton of improvements under the hood, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is looking excellent with a new and improved cover display with optimized apps that will run with ease. The foldable flagship is not looking as good as one might have hoped.
The Galaxy Fold 5 is not looking very promising due to Samsung making little to no changes in an otherwise expensive phone
Yesterday, we revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will have a crease that will only be 15% less noticeable than the Galaxy Z Fold 4 despite having the new waterdrop hinge mechanism. This might seem like a good difference, but considering how the crease is not really an issue for other foldable phones, it seems that Samsung is holding back or not doing something right.
Today, we are hearing that Samsung's employees are not satisfied with how the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is turning out to be, with some even saying that it cannot even be considered a Galaxy Z Fold 4s. This does sound troubling, considering how the phone is just a little over a month away from launch, and we doubt that Samsung could go back to the drawing board.
As far as I know, the boring design of the Galaxy Z Fold5 has caused some complaints from Samsung employees.

The source goes on to state that “It can't even be called the Galaxy Z Fold4s," indicating that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 might not be what we had been hoping for, and if that really is the case, then this is a sad situation. I genuinely was under the impression that Google Pixel Fold would have some competition despite the Fold 5 being more powerful. However, based on the surfacing information, we might have another substandard foldable on our hands.
Samsung is set to reveal the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, and all the other devices at Galaxy Unpacked next month, and in the coming days, you can expect to see a lot more detail coming forward, and we will keep you posted about everything learn about Samsung's decision regarding its new foldables. Until then, stay tuned!
