Galaxy S23 Devices Can Now Use AI-Powered Photo Editing Thanks to Samsung’s New Galaxy Enhance-X App-February 2024
Feb 11, 2026 11:49 PM

After unveiling it last year, Samsung has finally gone ahead and released the Galaxy Enhance-X app for the Galaxy S23 devices. For those wondering, the app is an AI-powered image editing tool that lets you fix all the imperfections in your images using AI as your friend. This means that with the power of AI, you can actually fix the brightness, sharpness, HDR, blur, and other aspects of your images, and considering how AI works, I think it is a promising feature.

Galaxy Enhance-X looks like a promising, AI-powered photo editing app to take your Galaxy S23's cameras to the next level

The app is currently available to test out on all Galaxy S23 devices, and you can download it from here. Galaxy Enhance-X is currently only available on Galaxy S23 devices, but don't worry, as Samsung has commented that the app will be making its way to older phones, including the Galaxy S22 devices and some Galaxy A phones, too.

You can have a look at some screenshots below.

Now, the Galaxy Enhance-X engine can do some really neat tricks, including removing the blur from the photos, as well as fixing Moire, removing reflections, removing shadows, fixing distortion, and upscaling your pictures as well. As a photographer, these features are really something that I would like to try on my Galaxy S22 Ultra, especially because when it comes to taking care of these imperfections using a more professional tool like Photoshop or Lightroom, you do need quite a bit of skill. Hopefully, the Galaxy S23 and other users will be able to up their photography game using this app.

However, I would not put all my eggs in the same basket because AI-powered editing and remastering do not always work. We actually recently reported an incident where the Samsung Gallery's remastering tool ended up adding teeth to a 7-month-old baby's picture. Hopefully, Galaxy S23 users will not have to suffer the same fate, and we will get pictures worth sharing with everyone. AI, when used properly, can make a lot of difference, and this is what I am hoping for the Galaxy Enhance-X to deliver.

At the moment, there is no word on when this app will be available on older phones, but we will keep you posted as soon as we get our hands on it. Stay tuned for more updates.
