The smartphone industry is an interesting one where people are often found waiting for new devices to come out. Currently, we are eyeing for Samsung to release the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which is scheduled to come out on July 27th, next month. However, based on newly surfaced information, it appears that Samsung has already started work on the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a different aspect ratio but the same camera configuration as this year's Galaxy Z Fold 5
The information about the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is coming from a renowned tipster Revegnus who claims that Samsung is going to change the aspect ratio of the display on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Which, honestly, should not come as a surprise as one would expect it to have happened already.
Now, it is worth noting that the last time a Galaxy Z Fold device saw a change in aspect ratio, it was with the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which introduced a 23.1:9 aspect ratio, giving you a tall and narrow screen, which looks different from anything the other phones are doing. However, we are now hearing that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could end up using a different aspect ratio altogether, and I hope that is the case, which would make the phone look a lot like a conventional device.
The leaker also shared some other important details about the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6, stating that Samsung will stick to the same camera system with the next foldable as the one found on the Galaxy Z Fold 5. This should not come as a surprise as we have noticed Samsung has made a hobby of going with smaller upgrades to the overall specifications aside from the processor, of course.
Whatever the case is, it is safe to say that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is still more than a year away from its official launch, and during this, a lot could change. For now, I would suggest that you wait for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and hope that Samsung has a home run on its hands because the company could really use one.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5, along with all the other devices, will be official on July 27th, and we will be providing you with all the coverage of the Galaxy Unpacked. So, anyone who is waiting for the event, stay tuned as we will be getting to see some amazing devices.
