Gigabyte’s AORUS 17H Gaming Laptop With An RTX 4080 Gets Stocked, And With A Lower Price Than Before-February 2024
Feb 12, 2026 8:28 AM

The last time the GIGABYTE AORUS 17H was listed on Amazon, the RTX 4080-powered gaming laptop was available for $2,389. Now, for $2,299, you get the exact same specifications as last time, but at a lower price. We can understand if there is some apprehension regarding the price, but if you browse the online retailer, you will find that most RTX 3080 Ti gaming laptops are more expensive than the machine you are about to look at.

Also, this laptop has a 17.3-inch display, and while we recommend against purchasing such products because of their sheer size, the pricing caught our attention, and it will catch yours too. The build quality of the AORUS 17H is top-tier, sporting a combination of metal and plastic, with the hinges being stiff as well. The RTX 4080 features 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM and can run up to 175W, the maximum limit NVIDIA sets for GPUs running in gaming laptops.

The RTX 4080 is complemented by a 14-core Core Intel 13th-generation Core i7-13700H, which can boost up to 5.00GHz. The exact configuration of the CPU includes six performance cores and eight power-efficiency ones. Other than that, the display is a 1080p IPS LCD and supports up to a 360Hz refresh rate, suggesting that this gaming laptop was designed with esports titles in mind.

The AORUS 17H also features 16GB of DDR5 RAM, along with a 1TB PCIe NVME Gen 4 SSD, and you will be pleased to learn that both the storage and memory can be upgraded down the road. Given that this is a 17.3-inch gaming laptop, it is filled to the brim with high-speed USB and display ports, along with a single Thunderbolt 4 input, which is great to see.

GIGABYTE went the whole nine yards and incorporated a 99.9WHr battery in this machine, which is the largest capacity any laptop can have while still being allowed to be boarded on a plane. Our only gripe about the AORUS 17H is its 1080p display. With an RTX 4080, it should be allowed to flex its muscles at a 1440p resolution, as it will not just give a high framerate experience to the user, but that higher resolution adds more detail on a 17.3-inch display.

The I/O of this gaming laptop is stacked

Fortunately, there is a workaround to this little problem, assuming you care about it. In some games, you can increase the render resolution to 150 percent, so if you are gaming on a 1080p display, the rendered resolution will go up to 1440p. If the render resolution value goes up to 200 percent, then it will pretty much mean that you are gaming at 4K, and trust us, the laptop RTX 4080 GPU can handle that load.

We do not know how many units are stocked on Amazon, but that $2,299 is one of the most attractive points of the AORUS 17H. Gaming laptops with similar specifications are around $400 to $500 more expensive, so if it is an insane value that you seek, then look no further than this.
