Google Photos Now Lets You Create Your Own Memories Using AI-Powered Tools-July 2024
Jul 31, 2025 7:26 PM

Google is slowly but steadily adding more and more AI-assisted features to its apps, and today, Google Photos is the one that is getting these features. The app has been getting a steady stream of features for some time now and has evolved a lot. It is no longer an app that curates all your photos, as you now have a lot of features. Now, the app has a feature that lets you create your own Memories with the help of AI, making it even more powerful.

Google Photos will soon have a dedicated Memories tab with more help from AI

Google has now decided to take the Memories up a notch, and after the update, Google Photos will now feature a tab specific to Memories. It will, of course, act as it sounds, with the user being able to access their favorite moments from the past. You will also have access to curation tools that will be powered by AI. The tool will basically automatically curate the photos and videos and create Memories for the user, and of course, you will be able to have full control over this feature.

For instance, if you don't like what the new Memories feature has created in Google Photos for you, you can just go ahead and remove whatever you don't like. Not just that, you can actually just remove the entirety of Memories created by the app, or you can hide them. The AI can also go ahead and create names for your favorite Memories, so if you are being indecisive, just ask AI for help.

Despite the new update, Google Photos will give you full control over all the customization, which means that you can still go ahead and edit the suggestions that the app has given you. The feature is rolling out starting today, but it is not going out to everyone as the company has mentioned that it is only available for select users, and more importantly, the feature is still being tested. So, we are still going to have to wait and see when it finally comes out.

Google Photos is definitely one of the best apps, and I believe with the new AI-powered features, it is about to become a lot better than it was before. Again, the new Memories feature is still slowly rolling out, so it might be some time before it finally shows up on your phone. Let us know what features you would like to see next.
