Google Pixel 3 XL Sadly To Feature Just a Single Rear-Camera, According to the Latest Image Shared-October 2024

With even affordable smartphones coming with dual-camera upgrades, it honestly comes a surprise to see that companies would still resort to using a single lens at the back of premium handsets. Unfortunately, that might be the case for the upcoming Google Pixel 3 XL, as a leaked image reveals that the smartphone will have a single shooter at the back.

However, the current-generation Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have revealed that the single rear camera is more than capable to shooter near-color-accurate and detailed images, so the upcoming handset should be an even more capable computing device in the camera department.

Pixel 3 XL Will Not Include the In-Display Fingerprint Reader, as Case Leak Reveals a Rear Reader Cutout

As lots of Chinese smartphone manufacturers have started embracing the in-display fingerprint reader, U.S.-based companies are still contemplating over this feature. According to the latest image shared by leakster Ice Universe, the Pixel 3 XL is going to feature a single rear camera at the back as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, which obviously means that the premium phone will not be accompanied with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Google revealed during the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL announcement that these devices are still able to shoot pictures with bokeh effects while relying on just a single camera lens. This is very impressive since, at the time, we thought that a dual-camera was required to make this happen. The only thing that users will be missing out from the Pixel 3 XL is the lack of optical zoom, but it is not going to be a deal breaker for a lot of customers.

Instead, we could see Google taking a variable apertureapproach like Samsung did with the Galaxy S9, but since nothing is concrete at this point, we cannot confirm at this stage. The Pixel 3 XL will feature an OLED display, meaning that possessing an in-display fingerprint sensor is not going to be a problem for the company or the smartphone.

As you tell from the render shown above, the smartphone will feature a notch, but taking cues from its predecessor, the Pixel 3 XL will be shipping without a headphone jack, unfortunately. Are you bummed that the flagship will have just a single camera lens at the rear side? Tell us down in the comments.
