Google has decided to add a number of new features to the Search Generative Experience ever since it was announced. However, the latest feature making it to Google SGE is the ability to virtually create the clothing you want and then find real-life matches that fit the outfit you have just virtually created.
Google SGE's latest features are here for easier shopping and gifting experiences
Google looks at it simply: if someone is looking for a "colorful, patterned puffer jacket" and they search for it, the new feature will give you the ability to "generate image" and will create "photorealistic" images based on the prompt you entered.
Using text-based prompts, you can make customizations and change the colors, fabric, pattern, and more. Google also makes a note that “20% of apparel queries are five words or longer.” Once you finally get the design that you have in mind, you can then “scroll down to see similar shoppable products.”
That's not all. With the help of Google SGE, you will also have an easier idea searching for gifts. The company says that users will have a “wide variety of subcategories to explore.” For example, “great gifts for home cooks” will show “specialty tools, artisanal ingredients, culinary subscriptions and even experiences like cooking classes — with options from brands large and small.” You can even fine-tune the prompt: “great gifts for home cooks who love pasta.”

Last, but not least, Google SGE is getting even better with the new virtual-try-on feature, which includes men's tops. It launched back in June, earlier this year. You can search for "men's tops" in the Google app or mobile web, and you will see results from various companies such as Abercrombie, Banana Republic, JCrew, and Under Armour in the US. Once you have selected the piece of clothing, you will be able to see the top on a real person with “40 models ranging in skin tone, body shape, height, and size so you can make a more confident decision.”
I am really glad that these Google SGE features are not only becoming more and more intuitive but also a lot more useful, and considering how we are just getting started with AI, there are going to be a lot of features going forward, and you will definitely have a lot better experience with the service. Do keep in mind that the feature is currently available to limited users and should be rolling out to more and more users as we move forward.
