They're official folks. Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The devices are stunning when compared to their predecessors. This year's approach on the pair focuses more on overall aesthetics and software, as opposed to pure hardware. Samsung's changed its approach to mobile devices over the past couple of years and the results have started to cement. We've covered quite a lot of details related to today's launch. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are perhaps the most widely covered smartphones in recent times. The rumor mill has been very generous to us. Nearly every feature that Samsung has launched today was mentioned by the mill beforehand. Therefore, today's launch comes as little surprise. The strongest feature for the pair is their design. Samsung's designed amazing devices this year and they make the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge look like fat potatoes in comparison. Expensive potatoes yes, but potatoes nonetheless.

Not only has Samsung made the devices much more ergonomic, but their improved aspect ratios add for greater display capacity. 18.5:9 is the latest in tech town, as Samsung becomes the second company to adopt it after LG. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ also feature their very own virtual assistant. Samsung's the last major smartphone manufacturer to equip its smartphone with the feature. As you can see, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are devices worth gushing over when talking design. Their upgraded aspect ratio, improved form and reduced top+bottom bezels blend for a great look and feel. In fact, the only complaint we can find against the phones is their fingerprint sensor. Samsung's placed it at the rear of the smartphones, which will, of course, make a lot of users mistake it for the rear camera sensor. Talking camera, there are virtually no upgrades to the rear camera this year. The only features we get are blur reduction and low light performance for the rear camera.

The Iris scanner also looks great here, but we'll have to test the device for ourselves to get a final look. It blends in perfectly with the microphone and front camera on the device's absolutely beautiful top bezels. At the hardware end, we get the Snapdragon 835, manufactured on 10nm, by Samsung. The processor will work wonders for power efficiency and is one reason why the Galaxy S8+ reduces batter capacity to 3500mAh from its predecessors, the Galaxy S7 Edge.
