We will show you how you can downgrade iOS 14.4.2 / iPadOS 14.4.2 to iOS 14.4.1 / iPadOS 14.4.1 on iPhone and iPad, respectively.
Apple is Still Signing iOS 14.4.1 and iPadOS 14.4.1 - Downgrade iOS 14.4.2 and iPadOS 14.4.2 Now While there is Still Time
Apple just released a brand new firmware update for iPhone and iPad a while back with strict focus on security content. Needless to say, it is important as it revolves around security, obviously. But, if you believe you should rather be on iOS 14.4.1 or iPadOS 14.4.1 instead, for whatever reason, you still have time to downgrade as Apple is still signing the older firmware.
Before you go ahead, it is extremely important to know that this will wipe your iPhone and iPad clean. So please, take the time out and make a backup of everything that is on your device using iCloud, iTunes or Finder. It literally takes a few minutes, especially if you are taking the Finder or iTunes route.
Next up, download the iOS 14.4.1 / iPadOS 14.4.1 firmware and save it to your desktop.

Once that is out of the way, follow the steps outlined below to downgrade.
Step 1. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your PC / Mac using a Lightning cable
Step 2. Launch Finder or iTunes
Step 3. Click on the tiny iPhone-like icon on the left to view more options
Step 4. Hold down the left Shift key (PC) or the left Option key (Mac) and click on Restore iPhone
Step 5. Select the iOS 14.4.1 / iPadOS 14.4.1 firmware file you saved on your desktop
iTunes / Finder will now extract the contents of the update and restore it onto your device. It may take a while.
Once done, simply setup your device all over again, or just restore from the backup you created before starting this tutorial.
