We will show you how you can take a screenshot of Apple CarPlay using your iPhone. It's actually pretty easy, and you already know how to do it.
Need to take a Screenshot of the CarPlay display? you can do it using your iPhone - here's how
Apple CarPlay is a great way to 'mirror' your iPhone to your car's infotainment system. The built-in car software is usually bad, and CarPlay solves a lot of problems in the car - especially when it comes to navigation.
A lot of you might not know this, but you can actually take a screenshot of the CarPlay display as well. Whatever there is on your car's infotainment display can be forever immortalized as a screenshot. And the best thing is, you already know how to do it.
Before you go ahead, it's important to know that CarPlay is supported on a wide range of devices. Basically, every single iPhone model with a Lightning port. You can check whether or not your car supports it by doing a quick search online or just talking directly to your car dealership.

Secondly, this tutorial is applicable to both versions of CarPlay - wired and wireless. It doesn't matter which one you're using, you willl have your screenshot whenever you want one.
Tutorial
The way this works is absolutely simple. With your iPhone connected and CarPlay up and running, simply take a screenshot of the iPhone display like you usually would:
Home + Power button if you have an older iPhone with a Home button.Power + Volume Up button on newer iPhone models with Face ID.Ask Siri to take a screenshot - this one's my favorite as it doesn't require you to let go of the steering while. But this requires the latest version of iOS.
When you do this, your iPhone will save two screenshots - one of your iPhone's display and the other one from CarPlay. Both these screenshots will be saved to the Photos app. You can then use the screenshot however you like.
Is this feature useful? Well, it depends. Given how limited CarPlay is and is meant for very specific tasks, you'll probably be taking screenshots of the Now Playing screen from Apple Music or Maps. Still, knowing how to screenshot CarPlay is a great way to highlight detail and something which you can get back to at a later date.
