With many smartphone display vendors existing today, you do not know which company is responsible for providing the screen. However, Samsung is at the forefront of the industry because of the panel quality it provides to the same manufacturers that ship the phone that you are holding. If you want to verify that the handset you possess, or want to buy as your daily driver, has been made by Samsung, follow these simple steps.
One company was surprisingly not mentioned in Samsung’s list, which is strange because it happens to be one of the company’s largest customers
Samsung recently launched a new page called OLED Era, which is a free service that allows you to check if the smartphone you own or are about to own, features a display made by the Korean giant. To get started, visit this page. Given below is what the page looks like when viewed from a desktop or laptop computer.
Step 1: Click on the area highlighted in red to open up a ‘drop-down’ menu. An arrow has been included in the image below.

Step 2: Click on the option OLED Finder, which is highlighted in red.

After clicking on OLED Finder, you will be brought to a new page, showing a column of smartphone vendors such as ASUS, OPPO, Xiaomi, Vivo, Samsung, and others. Click on any one of the vendors, and you will find two options to choose from; Seriesand Model.
Step 3: Using the options Seriesand Model, select the smartphone you wish to know more about. The result will be displayed at the bottom.

Step 4: A change in the webpage will appear, telling you that the smartphone model you choose has a Samsung display.

Samsung will display the following if the model you have selected features a panel made by the company. On this occasion, we chose the Galaxy S23 Ultra
Some of our readers would have likely noticed that Apple’s name is not on the list. Out of the names of many smartphone vendors, there is also the option titled Others. Unfortunately, after clicking on it, you will receive the following message - ‘Sorry. It is difficult to check the model you have searched.’
Given that Apple is one of Samsung’s biggest customers, the only possible reason the company would have not to name the technology giant in the column is that it is also Samsung’s biggest rival in the smartphone space. Hopefully, we will see Apple’s name in the list in the future, and if not, we will update our readers through our timely news on which iPhone display is made by which firm.
