HTC announced at the beginning of June that they'd be making Sense opensource by giving developers access to its APIs and that the whole process would be part of their upcoming developer website. The said website, HTCDev.com is now online and running and it includes plenty of goodies for developers.
The OpenSense SDK gives developers inside access to Sense through APIs which includesHTC's 3D stereoscopic interface and the pen SDK for its underutilizedScribe feature found in the Flyer. The kernel repository is where HTC will upload kernel source code/binaries which they have been doing previously as well. The bootloader unlock, currently 'coming soon', will allow users to unlock their bootloaders for root access and custom ROM flashing.
