Infinity Display Could Be Coming to More Mid-Ranged Devices From Samsung for a More Premium Look
Infinity Display Could Be Coming to More Mid-Ranged Devices From Samsung for a More Premium Look-October 2024
Oct 7, 2024 4:29 PM

So far, the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ have received Samsung’s premium Infinity Display treatment. This is a very good step to give the other mid-range category of devices the chance to boast that premium look but Samsung’s competitors are coming up with their own slew of affordable devices, which to remind you feature an 18:9 aspect ratio. Samsung certainly has a lot of competition to tackle and it is going to be doing this with the release of more mid-range devices that are rocking the Infinity Display.

Samsung’s Plan to Introduce the Infinity Display to More Devices Means the Company Is Aiming at More Profitability and an Edge Over Its Competitors

Samsung currently holds a 95 percent market share in the smartphone OLED market and according to The Investor, the company plans to match up with its competitors by introducing more phones that will sport that premium display feature.

Having the Infinity Display in more devices means that users will be able to experience additional screen real estate, along with other upgrades ranging from high battery life and a better media consumption experience.

The unfortunate thing about this rumor is that The Investor did not point out which devices are going to be incorporated with such a display, but as we pointed earlier, both the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ are rocking such panels.

Before Samsung focuses on a new lineup of devices, the company will have to diverge its attention on the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, which are slated to be announced during the MWC 2018 trade show. Rumor has it that Samsung might offer up to $350through a trade-in program and if that was not enough, the company will most certainly be introducing more freebies to go along with that flagship purchase.
