A comparison has been done between the iOS 4.0 and iOS 4.1 to see which one runs better and faster on the iPhone 3G. Well Apple this week announced along with other things that the iOS 4.1 will fix the performance of the iPhone 3G. Well to see if it really helps, You can check it out yourself in the link below which shows iOS 4.1 put against the iOS 4.0 on the iPhone 3G:

A few note's here as the source says that they only had one iPhone 3G to work with and couldn't run through the trials at the exact same time. As a result, some of the actions are not perfect, but they nonetheless demonstrate some performance differences between iOS 4.0 and iOS 4.1. Also that the iOS 4.1 is not available on iTunes yet but the 3G in the video is running on the final release of iOS 4.1.

Well Apple were true that the iOS 4.1 is indeed faster than the iOS 4.0 but its still much slower than the performance you get on the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 but UI response time is now much better and people will sure love too switch to iOS 4.1 from iOS 3 and 4.0.
