There have been a minuscule amount of rumors concerning the iPhone SE 2, which could mean that the company is paying little attention to it. According to a fresh rumor, the device could be unveiled at the upcoming WWDC 2018 developer’s conference and it could sport a bigger screen than its predecessor.
iPhone SE 2 Could Come With a 4.2-Inch Display and Might Even Retain Touch ID to Keep the Costs Down to a Minimum
The rumor comes from Keyforweb, which details Touch ID being retained for the iPhone SE 2 rather than implementing Face ID since the incorporation of a TrueDepth Camera and 3D sensing solution will end up shooting the price of the device sky-high. The site also claims that the phone’s screen will be increased to 4.2 inches so that it will give the user some screen real estate to play around with.
Rumored Specifications of the iPhone SE 2
The iPhone SE 2, as rumors are claiming could be a smaller screen version of the iPhone 7. That being said, it could feature an Apple A10 Fusion chipset which sports two performance cores and two efficient ones. Unfortunately, only two of them can be active at once, which is the complete opposite case with the A11 Bionic, but it is still a powerhouse nonetheless.
The phone is also expected to feature 2GB of RAM coupled with 32GB or 128GB storage capacities. We don’t believe that the iPhone SE 2 is going to be sporting a dual-camera because Apple could once again be targeting a smaller price tag and to do that, it is going to have to make a few compromises down the road. However, the phone might provide support for wireless charging, which is also the reason that it could fetch a higher price than the iPhone SE.
The upgraded hardware, not to mention wireless charging and other potential features could mean that you could end up paying more for the iPhone SE 2, but will you?
