Despite its $999 price tag, the iPhone X does not appear to have a problem is becoming a popular phone for consumers during the holiday season. According to an analyst, the bezel-less iPhone could end up being the shop-stopper of the entire holiday season, racking up as much as $30 billion in consumer spending.

All Three iPhone Models, Including the iPhone X Are Expected to Count for $52.6 Billion USD in Spending, Says Morgan Stanley Analyst

According to a Morgan Stanley’s note to clients, the fourth quarter of this year could see some major spending being incurred from consumers in getting their hands on the latest and greatest iPhone.

“Apparel is a wallet share donor to other categories, with cell phones/technology and services being two of them. We see this upgrade supercycle coupled with the very high $999 iPhone X average selling price as a significant headwind to Specialty Retailers and Department stores in the fourth quarter.”

Katy Huberty predicts that consumers will be upgrading to the new phone thanks to its changed form factor, increased battery life, and AR features. She also expects the iPhone X to be in limited quantities for a few months, which could reduce retailers sales during the first half of 2018 as well.

A well-known analyst has said that the worst period for Apple and its suppliers regarding components manufacturing problems are long goneand supply has now stabilized in order to meet demand.
