Samsung is gearing up to release the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 at Galaxy Unpacked, which should be taking place in August. So far, we have received a lot of information about upcoming foldable devices. We know they are going to pack some pretty great hardware, with the Flip 5 receiving a big upgrade in terms of the screen on the back, but the one thing that we have not heard so far is the cameras found on these devices, and today, we have a word on those too.

According to information from Yogesh Brar, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is going to offer a triple camera setup. Something that has become synonymous with Z Fold phones in the past. You will get a primary 50-megapixel camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. On the flip side, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will feature a dual camera setup, with a 12-megapixel main and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

Brar also pointed out some other improvements to both devices, confirming once again that Samsung is looking to improve the overall user experience of the design rather than introducing new, groundbreaking designs and upgrades.

So, we now know that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have improved hinges, new image sensors, larger outer displays, and as expected, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy. What I am really excited to see is how the Fold 5 has a larger outer display and how Samsung implements the external display of the Flip 5.

If you are disappointed about the cameras on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5, then don't be, as it has become an apparent theme with Samsung. The foldable phones, although cost as much as flagship phones, they are by no means proper flagships. Sure, they have the fastest chip, a lot of RAM, and cool tech, but Samsung still considers the Galaxy S its top-of-the-line experience, and until that changes, you can expect the Fold and the Flip to have some downgrades.

Both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 should be debuting in August, and in the coming days and weeks, we can expect both devices to leak numerous times.
