Now that it is confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is coming out by the end of July 2023, you can expect a lot of interesting details to drop about the upcoming flagship today, we have some more for you, and it might not be very reassuring for some fans.
You see, up until now, almost all the hype that has been built around the Galaxy Z Fold 5 was mainly because of the fact that the upcoming foldable flagship will have a new waterdrop hinge that will not only make the phone more durable but the same time, it will make the crease a lot less visible. Now, we have received word that it might not be the case.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 having a noticeable crease should not be that big of an issue for anyone.
Based on information acquired by reliable tipster Ice Universe, the crease on Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be 15% less than the one we have seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Now, this number seems like such a small decrease because the waterdrop hinge is supposed to be a revolution in design and take better care of the crease, but it seems that is not going to be the case.
I got the exact information about the crease of Galaxy Z Fold5, It does use a water drop hinge, but the crease is much larger than that of China brand mobile phone, so that the crease looks similar to Fold4.
Its crease is only 15% less than Fold4.

Now, as I have mentioned before, this might not be a big deal for a lot of people, but if you are about to dish out $1,799 on a foldable phone, then it is a must to have something that looks good and premium and the crease is not something that most people are going to want to settle with. At the same time, I do understand why crease exists in a foldable phone, and I see very little to no way of completely getting rid of it, but the crease only being 15% less on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is one thing that most people will have to think about.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 are both slated for July 26th release date, and the event will be held in Seoul, South Korea. We will keep you posted as more details emerge about Samsung's upcoming foldable flagships. Let us know what your thoughts are about the crease and whether or not you are okay with having something so noticeable on your phone screen.
