Mate 30 Pro Camera Rumor Suggests Dual 40MP Sensors With an Additional Unit for 5x Lossless Zoom-February 2024

The Huawei Mate 30 Procameraleaks and rumors just don’t stop coming, and with each new rumor, the upcoming flagship sounds even more exciting. According to a new set of info, the phone’s alleged quad-camera setup will consist of two 40MP sensors, an 8MP unit, and supposedly a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor, just like the tipster Ice Universe had hinted a few days back with a cryptic tweet. However, the new report has provided some more details about the camera specifications, which you’ll find out in just a bit.

Huawei Expected to Retain the RYYB Color Filter on the Mate 30 Pro Camera to Capture More Light

First off, the main sensor is expected to be 1.5-inch 40MP sensor with an aperture of F/1.6 - F/1.4(not confirmed if Huawei intends on using a variable aperture like Samsung has)The sensor will apparently have the RYYB color filter, just like the P30 Pro, which will theoretically allow it to collect more light than the Bayerfilter more vendors useon their devices. The new rumor also indicates that the Cine-Lens, which the Chinese giant filed a trademarkfor earlier, will make a debut with the Mate 30 Pro.

Cine-Lens could be short for cinematic lens and it is expected to drastically improve the quality of videos recorded from the phone. These lenses are basically optimized for continuous motion and are usually employed by professionals.Moving on, the second unit belonging to the Mate 30 Pro camera will presumably be a nearly 1.7-inch 40MP 120-degreeultrawide sensor and it will also have Cine-Lens on top. The third camera will reportedly be an 8MP telephoto lens with 5X optical zoom.

I told you a few rumors about Mate 30 pro camera, IMO this is more possible.

Previously, it was believed that the Mate 30 Pro will inherit the 40MP+8MP+20MP+ToF configuration of the P30 Pro with the few tweaks, and thus the 40MP ultrawide sensor has taken everyone by surprise. Of course, Huawei still hasn’t confirmed anything, so this could end up being a rumor.

We can expect to find more information in October, as that’s when the Chinese company is expected to reveal the Mate 30 series. Other things to look forward to is the possible inclusion of the Kirin 985 SoC, which will apparently have a built-in 5G modem and will also be faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus. Overall, it seems like Huawei is all set to deliver a winner again.
