The guys at DroidLife have gotten hold of photos of what they say is Motorola’s next upcoming high end tablet, the XOOM 2.
The XOOM 2, also known as MZ617, seems to have a sleeker and have angular borders instead of the rectangular slate design. Also, it is being said that the device itself weighs of similar weight in accordance of the original XOOM tablet.
In terms of I/O ports there is a micro USB and an HDMI port on the bottom, large flush like physical buttons on the back, a sim card slot and possibly a SD slot that may be tucked inside somewhere in the housing. The camera too as we can see the back side of the tablet has an ‘HD’ imprint on it, suggesting that the tablet will support 720p video recording besides supporting a front camera that too supposedly for video calling.
The tablet seems to have a similar design like the Nokia X8 phone from the sides and even looks similar to Motorola’s DROID HD. Under the hood perhaps, this time would be a quad core processor as the original XOOM came out with the Tegra 2 dual core processor.
The tablet will besides come standard with Google's Android Honeycomb OS running on the tablet.
