It seems that the Sony WF-1000XM5 is nearing the official launch because over the past couple of months, we have been getting some details about the upcoming flagship true wireless earbuds from Sony and the latest report that we have our hands-on also talks about what the company is bringing to these earbuds.

Based on information coming from ever-so-reliable WinFuture.de, the Sony WF-1000XM5 is going to pack some really nice updates to the earbuds, and we are also going to get improved drivers, which theoretically should provide better sound quality as compared to the older generation of earbuds.

The report suggests that the Sony WF-1000XM5 comes with new 8.4mm drivers. Sony is calling these drivers the Dynamic Driver X, and they are to deliver excellent audio quality. In addition to that, the new earbuds are also coming with two proprietary earbuds along with dual feedback microphones for better performance overall. In addition to that, there are going to be three microphones in each bud to deliver better performance when it comes to noise canceling. Sony has also talked about how the driver in teh new earphones will deliver better vocals and sound details. As expected, these also supported HiRes Audio and DSEE extreme.

Sony is also claiming that the Sony WF-1000XM5 is equipped with integrated Bone Conduction sensors along with Precise Voice Pickup technology that will ensure that the wearer's voice is properly captured every time they are on a call, especially in the noisier environments, considering how important these true wireless earbuds have become over the past couple of years, I definitely think that this is an important feature.

Moving further, Sony WF-1000XM5's case will bring a 500 mAh battery, taking the total playback time to an astounding 24 hours. Sadly, we don't know the playback time for teh earbuds on a full charge, but here is hoping that it is at least 6 to 8 hours, considering how the buds look substantial in size. Thankfully, the case does fast charge the buds, and three minutes of charge will give you an hour of playback time, and the case itself can be fully charged in just two hours.

The Sony WF-1000XM5 are also IPX4 certified, so you can take them for your workouts, and you are also getting multi-point connection support, as well as Bluetooth 5.3. In simpler words, you can expect the latest earbuds to feature all the things that you can wish for from good Sony earbuds.
