Apple recently announced the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with the latest internals and a unique Space Black color option. The new color option is the only visual difference the new machine covers over the previous-gen MacBook Pro models. However, if you are opting for the base M3 variant of the MacBook Pro, you do not have the option to get it in the new Space Black color. Apart from the color, the machine features the new M3 chip, which will remain the only new addition.
The new Space Black color option is only available with the M3 Pro and M3 Max variants of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models
Apple's new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are powered by the company's new M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips. The new chips deliver enormous gains in computational and graphical performance. For the first time, the base M3 chip is now available with the new 14-inch MacBook Pro, which proves that the new chip is pretty powerful to be part of the higher-end models. The company also introduced the new Space Black color option at its 'Scary Fast' event, and to be fair, it looks stunning, giving a stealthy look to the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro.
If you were planning to get the base M3 variant of the 14-inch MacBook Pro in the new Space Black color, unfortunately, it is only available on the M3 Pro and M3 Max variants of the machines. This means that you will have to settle with the previous Space Gray and Silver color options if you are determined to get the base M3 variant of the MacBook Pro. However, if you are planning to get the M3 Pro and M3 Max variants of the new MacBook Pro models, you will have the option to choose between Space Black and Silver. The Space Black version replaces the Space Gray color option. You can check out more details on Apple's official website.

To get the Space Black color option, the base model will cost you $1,999 for the M3 Pro 14-inch MacBook Pro in contrast to $1,599 for the M3 variant. Since Apple now offers the M3 chip with the 14-inch MacBook Pro, the 13-inch MacBook Pro has been discontinued. However, the company could redesign the chassis and design of the machine and launch it later next year, according to Mark Gurman. The company also announced a new 24-inch iMac with the M3 chip in new color options and a better display.
