Google is releasing November's updates to Android devices, bringing a number of security patches. This is the first month of security updates for the Pixel smartphones. OTA files and factory images are now available for Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Verizon Pixel, Verizon Pixel XL, along with Nexus devices.
Nexus devices receive Android 7.0 Nougat based updates, while the Pixels receive Android 7.1 updates. Google has fixed a number of security vulnerabilities, including some critical bugs"that could enable remote code execution on an affected device through multiple methods such as email, web browsing, and MMS when processing media files."
