The NVIDIA SHIELD is still a great device, even three years after its release primarily NVIDIAstill rolls out updates fairly often. It even got a full-scale Android Oreo update with bought a host of changes and a redesigned UI. A new upgrade to the SHIELD is rolling out today with Amazon Music integration, NAS improvements,customizable Quick Settings, and more. Here is the complete changelog.

Amazon Prime subscribers can connect their accounts to the new Amazon Music account to stream music on the SHIELD. If you want to give it a try, you can get it for $0.99 for three months as a part of Amazon's ongoing promotion. You'll also be able to control playback with Google Home and Echo devices. The update adds a few more commands like "Pause." and "Resume." NVIDIA also added some additional options for the Quick Settings (the menu items at the top of the settings UI). You can add links to SHIELD accessories, check for any updates, and more. The latest SHIELD software is rolling out now and you should receive it in the coming week.
