This is probably the first time that we’re seeing the Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun pose with shorter hair, but regardless, let us focus on the Redmi Pro. From a distance, the phablet sized smartphone looks identical to an OnePlus 3, with its metallic unibody that has been brushed dexterously in order to deliver that aesthetic upgrade. However, the absence of the dual-camera setup would give away the fact that it’s a Redmi Pro, and it could be the first ever smartphone from the Redmi family to feature an OLED display. However, these hardware upgrades (detailed below) will definitely increase the price tag, since it has been rumored that the device’s highest performing model is going to cost $210 in China.

When it gets shipped out to other regions, that price tag is going to increase exponentially. Both chipsets feature Cortex-A72 and Cortex-A53 cores that are paired together in ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture and will feature the following processing cores and clock speeds.

While a Helio X25 is going to be present, more info also suggests that 4GB of RAM is going to be a part of the hardware. While this is most impressive, we suspect that a Snapdragon 652 could be present in the international variant of the device. This is probably not going to be the only dual-camera smartphone from Xiaomi, since there are rumors that both Mi Note 2 and Mi5s will come stacked with the same upgrade, but it could be the most affordable dual-camera smartphone that you guys could ever come across.

The release of Redmi Pro could allow the price of Redmi Pro 3 to further reduce.
