OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan Is inching Closer Towards Final Release

Alongside iOS 9.3 Public Beta 3, Apple has also released OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan Public Beta 3 for Mac users. It features the same awesome features as prior builds, but of course, this new release packs in a lot of bug fixes and performance enhancements. That's what the changelog currently notes at least. But there is a chance Apple might've slipped something new in this pre-release build which is just waiting to be discovered. If that's the case then we will definitely highlight it here, so stay tuned.

If you have a previous build of OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan Public Beta installed on your Mac then you can grab the third pre-release software directly from the Mac App Store. Simply connect to a stable WiFi network, launch the Mac App Store and then click on the Updates tab at the top. After a few seconds the third Public Beta build will present itself, all set to be downloaded. Save all your work and click on the 'Update' button at the right to begin the download and installation process.

If you wish to give OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan beta a shot on your Mac, then you'll be pleased to learnthat Public Beta software doesn't cost a dime to install. All you have to do is head over to beta.apple.com, enroll your Mac in Apple's Beta Software Program, and simply download the new OS X desktop release directly from the Mac App Store. It really doesn't get any more easier than this.

We also recommend installing beta software on devices that aren't your daily drivers, so that things don't hit a roadblock for users in day to day use. But given how stable OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan beta is currently, it's safe to say that you won't run into any sort of problem.

OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan features a bunch of new additions, such as the ability to view Live Photos in the Messages app, as well as something which many have been waiting for in the Notes app - importing notes from Evernote to OS X's Notes app.
