Pete Lau Shows How The OPPO Find N2 Flip Can Bear Weight 131 Times Higher Than Phone’s Actual Weight-July 2024
Jul 1, 2025 7:54 AM

Foldable phones are having an absolute blast in the market right now. The OPPO Find N2 Flip is already an excellent foldable that will soon be joined by the likes of Google Pixel Fold and Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. Now, one thing that is common with all foldable phones is that they are not as durable as their candy bar equivalent offerings. Well, Pete Lau disagrees as he shared a video of the Find N2 Flip bearing weight that could be considered inhumane for a phone if there ever was a word for it.

While OnePlus phones often bend or break when put under pressure, OPPO Find N2 Flip aces the test

Lau took to Twitter and shared a 10-second video showing the OPPO Find N2 Flip laying on two transparent cubes, with the screen facing downwards, and the phone opened up. The video continues with weights being put on the phone that progressively increase. You can check the video below:

The weight starts at 5KG and progressively increases all the way up to 25KG, which is 131 higher than the phone's weight of 191 grams. Honestly, I am surprised that the phone did not bend under this pressure. Especially when you consider that the weights were placed right on the hinge, which is the most fragile part of the entire phone. Sadly, Lau did not show whether the phone survived this strenuous test, but considering we barely see the phone flex during the video, I am really impressed by the quality. The video ends with a cheeky but true statement saying, "This flip doesn't flop."

Honestly, such a test is not something that we would be seeing or conducting in real life. Phones are supposed to be used for their purpose and not as test subjects. Still, it is nice to see that OPPO has created something solid that can last through the paces. I am going to wait and see how JerryRigEverything responds to this test and whether or not he decides to put the OPPO Find N2 Flip through his set of tests.

The OPPO Find N2 Flip is undoubtedly my favorite foldable phone on the market at the time of writing. However, it is too early to crown this as the best foldable, considering how we are only at the start of 2023, and we are going to get some pretty strong competitors by the end of the year. Let us know which foldable you are most excited about in the comments below.
