Despite being promising, the Galaxy FE lineup has gone through some identity crises over the past couple of years. The Galaxy S20 FE was an excellent device, and the Galaxy S21 FE would have been great too, but it launched at a really bad time after nearly being canceled, and we never got the chance to see the Galaxy S22 FE. The Galaxy S23 FE, however, might end up seeing the light of day, and we heard recently that the phone is going to sport Samsung's old Exynos 2200, which displeased many fans. Today, however, we bring you some good news.
The Galaxy S23 FE, if and when released, will feature a 50-megapixel primary camera, along with an Exynos 2200 powering the device
According to newly revealed information from ever so-reliable GalaxyClub, we have learned that the Galaxy S23 FE is going to ship with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, which a telephoto and an ultra-wide sensor will accompany. This is good news because the 50-megapixel sensor is also found in the base variant, so it is safe to say that Samsung uses the same excellent sensor for its budget device.
Now, the Exynos 2200 is still in tow, which means that you are essentially getting last year's chipset, but the chipset is not abysmal, and for a phone that is going to cost sub $600, I think it would make an excellent value for money when it eventually comes out. At the same time, it is also worth noting that Samsung is making it very difficult for Fan Edition phones, including the rumored Galaxy S23 FE, to exist in the market. The reason is simple, the Galaxy A54 is already an excellent device, and anyone who wants an experience of a good Samsung phone without spending a lot of money should go for it.
We are going to have to wait and see what Samsung decides to do with the Galaxy S23 FE, provided that it actually comes out in the market and manages to make an impact. The company is currently working on a new set of foldable phones and new tablets, so it will take some time before we get to see what's in store for us.
